Knorr-Bremse in Germany

With over 100 different test rigs, the Development Center provides exceptional facilities for developing and testing innovative products and systems. The Center is home to 350 engineers and technicians from the Rail Vehicle Systems and Commercial Vehicle Systems divisions, all working in multidisciplinary teams on future technologies destined for the mobility and transportation sector.

Munich is also where Knorr-Bremse Commercial Vehicle Systems and the Company’s commercial vehicle aftermarket segment, Knorr-Bremse TruckServices, have their headquarters. In Berlin, Knorr-Bremse subsidiary Hasse & Wrede produces and markets viscous torsional vibration dampers for commercial vehicles, passenger cars, ships and industrial applications. Knorr-Bremse has two other facilities, in Schwieberdingen and Düsseldorf respectively, both of which develop systems for commercial vehicles. Schwieberdingen specializes in the development of electronic systems, while Düsseldorf develops state-of-the-art steering systems.
