Knorr-Bremse Fékrendszerek Kft. is the strategic manufacturing and development base of the Commercial Vehicle Division of the global market leader in brake systems, Knorr-Bremse AG.
The company based in Kecskemét employs nearly 1,000 employees on 21,000 square meters. Its main products are air processing units, hand brakes, ABS and other valves, as well as electronic components for commercial vehicles, which make a decisive contribution to road safety. In 2021, the company won the National Excellence Award.
The engineers at the Knorr-Bremse R&D Center in Hungary follow the development and testing of brake systems in complex workflows, from compressed air production and preparation assemblies to brake control and new electronic systems - all under high quality assurance conditions. Pre-development is working on innovations to make a truck as autonomous as possible and capable of driving in self-driving mode in a motorway environment.
