With the business development in China, Knorr-Bremse CVS China activily engages in diferrent activities to fulfill our social responsibilities by carrying out Global Care and Local Care programs.
Supported by non-profit organization Knorr-Bremse Global Care, our activities all revolve around giving back to the society. Knorr-Bremse Commercial Vehicles China has a team- KBlove of volunteers from all location of CVS in China. The goal is to help the people in need and to engaged our employees in local care projects implementing social activities locally.
From 2014 to 2021, Knorr-Bremse Commercial Vehicle Systems China has funded and completed the playground reconstruction and reading room setup project and of Shiguan Village Primary School located in Fengjie, Guizhou province. With the improved educational enviroment, local children and adolescents could receive better eduction with better infrastructures.
From 2015 to 2017, Knorr-Bremse Global Care completed the project in Daqiao Primary School in Shuijiang Town, Nanchuan District, Chongqing and Mingjiawan Mountain Primary School in Yun County, Hubei province, which helped the children reconstructed the plastic playground with the healthy and safe materials in Chonqing and redecorated the classroom, set up multimedia classrooms, donated the new desks and chairs and reorganize the libraries in Shiyan. Knorr-Bremse Chongqing employees personally participated in construciton of playground about 1,680 square metre, more than 535 students benefited from the project.
In May 2017, KB Dalian Local Care Team investigated into Dalian Jinzhou Handicapped School, to build a rainbow corridor for handicapped children, which serves as not only a shelter, but also a good place for outdoor activities for the handicapped students. The beneficiaries reached 126 in this project.
In order to better fullfill corporate social responsibility, in 2016 Knorr-Bremse Commercial Vehicle Systems China established the " KBlove" volunteers organization, which could secure more steady supporting to all projects in China. Every year, the volunteers connected with schools in Dalian, Chongqing, Shiyan and Shanghai, and regularly carried out the campus activities. As a local public welfare force of Knorr-Bremse Commercial Vehicles in China, " KBlove" has always been committed to helping and improving the education of local schools, and continues to carry out children's safety camps in schools in various places, so that every child can grow up in a healthy and happy environment.
In 2020, KBlove volunteers of KB CVS China cooperated with Amity Foundation and Tencent Philanthropy launched the "Light the Heart, Care for Blind Children" project through innovative public welfare methods such as online donation and love solitaire, providing subsidies for blind children with special education schools to apply for and distribute to students to help 31 blind children solve their education and living expenses.
In 2021, KBlove once again launched the "Healthy Small Desk in the Mountains" to replace the height-adjustable eco-friendly desks and chairs, totally 300 sets, for Suobotan Primary School in Danma Town, Huzhu County, Haidong City, Qinghai Province, covered 387 beneficiaries. Local care team is commitment to improve the teaching hardware of rural schools and help rural children grow up healthily.
KNORR-BREMSE GLOBAL CARE – OUR HISTORY
In 2018 two new Knorr-Bremse Global Care organizations were established. In the future, more Knorr-Bremse employees will be involved in Global Care activities.
