Purpose and legal basis of data processing

During the IAA 2026 photo/video recordings will be taken for:

• Public and internal reporting
• Documentation of the trade show presence
  

Photographs and video recordings of booth staff and visitors at the IAA trade show booth of Knorr-Bremse Systeme für Nutzfahrzeuge GmbH

The photographs and video recordings may depict the following situations and events:

• Photos and videos of booth staff and visitors at the Knorr-Bremse Systeme für Nutzfahrzeuge GmbH booth at the IAA trade show
• Photos and videos of conversations with prospective customers, existing customers, and trade visitors at the Knorr-Bremse Systeme für Nutzfahrzeuge GmbH booth at the IAA trade show

Portrait photographs and photos of individuals that do not qualify as group photos are not covered by these guidelines, unless they depict figures of contemporary history. To protect the personal rights of the person depicted, such photos require the express consent of the individual concerned.

The legal basis for data processing is our legitimate interest in reporting on our participation in the IAA 2026 pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Recipients of the data

The photos and videos are stored on data storage media for the purpose of making the data available and are published as follows:

• Print publications issued by Knorr-Bremse Systeme für Nutzfahrzeuge GmbH and affiliated companies of the Knorr-Bremse Group
• Knorr-Bremse websites on the intranet and the Internet, as well as the Knorr-Bremse Group’s corporate channels on social media [Knorr-Bremse AG LinkedIn, Knorr-Bremse AG Instagram, Knorr-Bremse AG YouTube, Knorr-Bremse Truck Services Instagram]
• Presentation and promotion of public sales exhibitions, trade shows, and other events
• Documentation of trade show appearances
• Enhancement of the public image of Knorr-Bremse Systeme für Nutzfahrzeuge GmbH
• Public relations

Please note that photos and videos published on the Internet are accessible worldwide. We cannot rule out the possibility that third parties may reuse this data.

In addition, we engage carefully selected service providers on a data processing basis. These service providers may be based in countries outside the European Economic Area that have a lower level of data protection than is the case within the EU. In such cases, we take appropriate measures to ensure adequate protection of your data, for example, by entering into EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Storage period

We will delete your personal data after 5 years, unless statutory retention periods require us to store it for a longer period.

Your rights

You have the right to obtain confirmation from us whether personal data relating to you are being processed; if this is the case, you have the right to access this personal data and the information specified in Art. 15 GDPR. You have the right to obtain from us without undue delay rectification of any inaccurate personal data concerning you and, if applicable, the completion of any incomplete personal data.

You have the right to obtain from us the erasure of your personal data without undue delay if one of the reasons listed in Art. 17 GDPR applies, e.g. if the data is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected (right to erasure).

You have the right to obtain from us the restriction of processing if one of the conditions listed in Art. 18 GDPR is met, e.g. for the duration of the verification by us if you objected to the processing.

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time on grounds arising from your particular situation. We will then no longer process the personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate interests, which override your interests, rights and freedoms or the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
