Junior Achievement

Junior Achievement’s mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed. The inspiration piece comes from company volunteers who not only give lessons but share their experiences. In the process, these volunteers serve as role models helping to positively impact young people’s perceptions about the importance of education, as well as critical life skills. Preparation involves proven lessons from JA that promote financial capability, work and career readiness, business ownership, environment and others.

Gardening Course - IAG

In 2021, with the support of Knorr-Bremse Global Care Brazil, we were able to organize the first group of the Gardening Course aimed to food production, aligning education and generating work, money, strengthening partnerships and implementing projects for the sustainable development. The methodology included theoretical and practical classes, as well internships for learning how to plant, grow and harvest foods such as radishes, spinach, cherry tomatoes, kale, and others. In addition to training, the project is also intended to supply the kitchen of the institute and generate also its own income. This project was led by two highly qualified biologists and recognized specialists in environmental protection. Both are members of the IAG (Entrepreneurs Women Project). In the middle of an area in which no consideration is given to the environment, IAG not only wants to be a model for the care and education of children, young people and adults, but also to become a model for environmental protection.
