Active Caliper Release System (ACR) - discovering energy-saving potential

The Active Caliper Release System (ACR) optimizes the energy efficiency of the SYNACT® pneumatic disc brake.
Trucks and buses benefit from longer maintenance intervals and fuel savings with ACR.

Active Caliper Release (ACR) – benefits at all levels

ACR is the perfect solution for anyone who wants to make their SYNACT® brake even more efficient. The ACR is a spring system that actively spreads the brake pads away from the brake disc after braking and simultaneously centers the brake caliper over the brake disc. This minimizes unwanted residual drag torques. Thus, ACR reduces fuel consumption, saves CO2, and at the same time ensures less wear on the brake pads during operation, reducing particulate matter emission in the same go – a win for operators and the environment!
