LOCAL ACTIVITIES IN CZECH REPUBLIC

The aim of the training centre is:

• Training in lean production methods in cooperation with Value Stream Academy
• Teaching new technologies - teaching 6 technical programs: robotics, sensors, pneumatics, camera systems, PLC and hydraulics
• Training in production standards for new employees according to the TWI - Training Within Industries system
• Direct implementation of line improvements in the Kaizen workshop - using the workshop and new 3D technologies for improvements and repairs
• Customer training on the principles of Knorr-Bremse products
• Training for colleagues from the Business Services Centre

Trainee programme for high school graduates

Since 2022, Knorr-Bremse has a new training programme for high school and vocational school graduates. The young graduates are taught and deepen their knowledge under the guidance of a mentors from among our employees and become independent, qualified and responsible employees upon completion of the programme. As part of the program, they go through a set of training courses that develop their knowledge and personal skills, get plenty of practice in our production facility, joint teambuilding, interesting excursions and much more.

Help with movement with Knorr-Bremse

Every year, Knorr-Bremse hosts a charity event called Help with Movement with Knorr-Bremse. Our employees compete against each other in teams in sports activities such as running, cycling, skating and skiing. For every kilometre they cover, the company donates CZK 1 to selected charities. At the same time, the best teams and individuals in the categories are always awarded with a gift during a ceremony.
