Knorr-Bremse Sistemi per Autoveicoli Commerciali S.p.A. located in Arcore, Italy, develops and manufactures commercial vehicle braking systems for medium and heavy trucks, tractors, trailers, buses and other commercial vehicles. Manufacturing focuses mainly on assembly of valves and other products including operated cylinders and air dryers. The company’s quality system is certified to IATF and ISO 14001.
Knorr-Bremse Commercial Vehicle Systems (CVS) Italy was founded in San Donato Milanese in 1978. In 1993 Bendix HVSI was integrated and the whole company moved to Arcore. Since 1996, Knorr-Bremse CVS Italy has been the Center of Competence for Valves. In 1998, Bosch was integrated. 2003 marked the start of production of a pedal unit for Iveco. In 2006, the three millionth handbrake valve was assembled. 2010 saw the start of production of clutch actuation modules, followed in 2013 by production of a pedal unit for Renault.
